Easy desert, or snack, Apple turnovers.
Tin of stewed apple or peel your own and stew with 1/2 cup of water & some sugar, 1/2 t-spoon of ground cloves & nutmeg, add dried fruit if you want.
Take a sheet of puff pastry cut in half, add a couple of spoons of the apple to the middle of each half and fold sides in. (you will work it out)
With 1 egg and a spoon of water whisked in a bowl. (egg wash) use a pastry brush or just your fingers if you haven't got one put some egg wash on the turnovers and bake in your oven for about 30-40 minutes at 160deg C. Sprinkle some sugar on top prior to cooking in oven & use and some baking paper or butter on base of tray. Can also be done in a camp oven on a trivet, but keep check regularly to make sure they don't burn.
Next time I do some I will edit this and add a photo, I made some yesterday and they are in my stomach, Yum Yum.
Serve as they come or with fresh cream or ice cream, don't burn your mouth.
