Had some leftover taco mince in the fridge so we added a jar of chunky salsa, jalapenos & cheese then used it for pie filling in the pie maker. Topped the pies with a spoonfull of sour cream & avocado dip.
Simmered down and thickened up nicely, gave my self 10 out of 10 for flavour.

Followed up with a bit of average Coles baked cheesecake. Won't be buying that crap again.
Have about 7 serves of curry left.
Not bad, 19 bucks worth of ingredients for 8 yummy meals.
(didn't count the stock in the calculations, I made it out of the bones of 4 roast chickens I cooked over the last couple of months)

Had one when I lived in Holland, never again.
Just about useless unless you are eating out of a packet.
The only thing I used it for was heating up bitterballen that I did buy in packets.
I don't deep fry so packets are the only option.

Back in the day, a cold day, you would order a shot of bittertje (jenever, dutch gin, can also be brandy), in which a mixture of herbs has been steeped, to warm your c0ckles. It can also refer to any bitter alcohol.
Alcohol was traditionally served with something savoury, and so along with the booze came bittergarnituur.
A plate of various chunks of gouda cheeses, mini egg rolls, meatballs and or salami etc.
The bitter only refers to the alcohol.
The meatballs with dutch mustard (ballen) became the most liked and is now an institution in Holland.
No you get it with beer as well.
So, booze, meat and gravy filled, crumbed and deep fried, balls, and dutch savory mustard.

Whilst I had a little energy, I knocked up some bangers n mash. 🤤
Just cheap snags, an onion, 7 spuds, peas corn n carrot with gravy into Pyrex dish and snags sliced up and tossed amongst the gravy. The mashed tata with real butter, cream, (100ml) a splash of mild, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese over the top and into the oven. Friggin hell that has gone down well. 😁
