Tried bypassing the filter/primer head for testing?.

I havnt really had to deal with any too cold issues. How does rubber respond to the cold?. Could the fuel lines be old and letting air into the system during cold weather?


Glow plug controller and associated temp sensor would be another one to consider. It should cycle on and off until warmed up.

I will recheck all the lines! It is strange, if I slowly press the primer every couple seconds is stays running//

The primer/filter head are known for failing and letting in air

Is it Temp sensitive? Other than bypassing it completely to test, is there any other test method? What if I heat the assembly with a heat gun prior to starting?

I wouldn't of thought it would be temp sensitive but I have no experience in sub zero temps. Heat gun sounds abit hit and miss. Easy to bypass and will give a more definite answer

My primer assembly looks to have an additional assembly on it that I dont see in replacement units.

Well thats different. Never seen one like that before.
