help- brake pads

Mate, really easy.

There is a bolt at the top and the bottom of the caliper in line with the top and the bottom of the pad itself, kinda looks like it is the slide pin that the whole caliper goes in and out on. About a 12mm from memory and it has the fluted rubber over a section of it on the top and bottom.

leave the caliper connected to the diff.

crack the bottom one of the bolts described above then crack and undo the top one and take it out.

The pad cage will rotate out away from the disk and allow you to change the pads, just like peeling an orange.

then bolt it back in and your done.

Changed mine on the side of the road in Alice springs, both sides in 15 minutes. easy as.

Hope that makes sense.

If you dont have a brake compressor just use a good G clamp to push the caliper cylinder back in to make room for the new pads.

Good luck.
