Lost me key and the oem 2 button remote.
Nissan want $130 for the remote + $80 to programe it
+$200 for the key!

Its for a 1997 GU TI

Anyone know where i can get a better deal?

but your still going to get bent over on the key
the key or the remote you can program with instructions on the forum here somewhere. i never remember which one it is

Bought a key from ebay (under username "musifieds") for a maxima. work a treat.

I did a check but could not find the 2 buttons key. But I am quite sure you can get a normal key (with transponer chip in) and a separate remote.

You cannot programe the transponer (only nissan and some locksmith can do that), but you can programe the remote.

All in all, still will cost you about $150 for the lot (including key cutting and programme), still cheaper that get it from nissan.

You'll have to pay for the key to be cut on top of that. I searched everywhere for someone to do the key, couldnt find anything/anyone except overseas. Ended up back at NIssan bought key and remote, went to lock smith to get it cut then back to Nissan to have it programmed. Grrr

I just had a second key cut and programmed at a locksmith for $170. The remote would have been an extra $200 I think he said.

The key was bigger and uglier than the Nissan key but cheaper.
