Hi guys, my patrol is in need of some tlc it is starting to rust in places as can be seen in the photo.
What is the best way to clean this up? Wire brush it back to bare metal ?? What other steps do I need to do after cleaning the rust

My biggest recommendation would be to see if your local TAFE offers any short courses on car painting. I'm actually half way through one myself, it's taught me heaps more than I could ever pick up from across the internet!

Basic list of steps to take that I've learned thus far;
Sand back
Metal condition (unless using an acid etch in the next step)
Etch prime
Prime
Colour coat
Clear coat

its a safari,you better get learning how to weld before learing how to paint/prep.
