Hi mount wins hands down if its modded/ speced up

Mine has:

6hp
Braced
Giggle pin brake shaft
Albright w/ 72mm cable
Air freespool

I've never had to do a 2 line pull

Next will be widened drum & twin motors
my high mount is nearly the same, its a good recipe short of splashing out on a gigglepin.

6hp, 9.5xp.
drum bracing.
tapped and capped brakeshaft.
R clipped freespool.
roller bearing end plate.
widened, small diameter drum.
solid state solenoid.
cigweld superflex connections.
supermax rope.
stainless fairlead.

I missed this thread, I want to play to…

With the Mal Leslie touch
6hp motor
striped, inside painted out, motor windings painted, end cap machined for better seal and no build up of crap under it, taped for breather.

Hi mount
fill and drain plugs
breather
Giggle pin brake shaft
upgraded brake linings
brass bushings between gears
Delta-tek reduced diameter freespool drum 76mm wider and bearing end plate
R-cliped clutch
3 brace tie bars
billet alloy flairlead
45m Dyneema and spare 50m super max rope

Albright solenoid
70mm cable
in cab controls

Next will be 24v twin motor giggle pin top hat, 90mm cable and gear ratio change.

Leethal where is your spec sheet??

High mounts are becoming so yesterday in the comp scene, the modified low mounts are starting to creep in, they have more speed, parts are cheaper and quicker to replace if they stuff up.
Correct but I love yesterday, all my troubles seem so far away, now it looks as though there here to stay…..

Still rated to 8,000lb as the rating doesn't come from the motor. I'd image its rated from the shafts and case strengths
Correct, different motor changes electrical HP not mechanical HP or load rating.
