hello everyone,

i am in the process of putting a td42 into my GU IV patrol with the zd30 auto.

i have natro td42 and going to boost it.
(i dont need lots of power, just a little boost help haul the rig around)

i have done a little research on here but cant find the right answer.

i am looking at doing all the turbo work outside of the rig so that when i bolt it down its as little as wiring it up from there...

What will be easier for me to go with...High mount or Low mount turbo?
*will have top mount intercooler#

I'd go with a low mount if your keen on a top mount cooler. Gives a lot more room for a bigger/thicker cooler plus more room for dump pipe.

What spec GU do you have? Do you have rear aircon?
i wouldnt have a clue... i didnt get to spend much time with my car before the motor blew. how do i check?

the turbo setup will be all done whilst the motor is out of the car. so i can access everything and make sure its all tight and well sealed.

Ok fair enough. I would go low mount. Makes a few things a bit easier/harder. But seeing as engine is out of car its all good. ☺. Now which low mount are you going?

thats my next question... what a decent budget wise low mount turbo set up that is not cheap crap but not high end gear?

how do i know the difference if buying dts kits off fleabay? or who should i talk to locale in toowoomba area?
