Hey guys

Im in the middle of getting all my parts together to turbo my GQ TB42, im just wondering about the rocker cover breather that goes the the bottom of the intake manifold. When i turbo my car wont boost come from the intake manifold into the rocker cover? or does the intake manifold have like a PCV valve that stops that? if not just plug it and put another breather on the rocker cover?

Thanks i hope someone can shed some light on this.

Yes on most of the turbo versions the breather is put into the intake just before the turbo to get some slight suction. Then it would be better to also fit a catch can to reduce the oil vapour going into the turbo, oiling the intercooler and manifold.

should be a crank case pressure relief valve, so yes it should have PCV or similar, could also look at just running one of those little oil breather filters on the rocker cover bit doggy, but coupled it with a catch can , works very effective

so you would run hose from rocker cover to catch can then hose from catch can to breather filter and just mount the breather filter high up on fire wall some where higher than the catch can
can catches any oil breather releases pressure, and don't forget to plug hole in manifold, simple and effective, or as already said can plumb the hose after the catch can back to the intake pipe from air box
