I know that there's plenty of info on gear ratios and revs etc in the MQ/MK section, but I reckon it would be good to see what gearing setups everyone is running, how well it runs at 100 clicks and what speed its happiest at in top gear.
This is just a technical thread, because I couldn't find a central thread for people to chuck up their gearing setups.
Include:
4 or 5 speed gearbox?
Tyre size?
Diff Ratio?
Engine?
Any performance mods?
Runs well at 100km/h?
Revs at 100km/h?
Best speed in top gear? (most comfortable speed for engine)
I'll start with mine:
4 or 5 speed gearbox? 5 speed
Tyre size? 31"
Diff Ratio? 4.375
Engine? SD33T
Any performance mods? No
Runs well at 100km/h? No, needs to be pushed too much. (Needs 33's)
Revs at 100km/h? ~2450 (Calculated, tacho doesn't work)
Best speed in top gear? 90-93km/h
