Hi Guys,
I need to find an easier way to crank the engine from under the hood
by locating & 'short circuiting' the starter relay.
This is a GQ Patrol with an RB30, carby model.
If anybody can guide me how to do this, I would be grateful.
I've attached few photos of the area where the relays are located under the bonnet.
I haven't attached a photo of a fuse and relay box inside the car, because I thought
the starter relay may not be there.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. This is for closely monitor a compression test on each stroke. Hard to do it while turning the key, when the compression tester isn't clearly visible.

Run a positive wire from the signal input on the start solenoid straight to the positive on the battery

Just run a lead straight to your starter solenoid

Ok, cool. Thanks guys.
So, none of those relays has anything to do with cranking the engine, which I discovered the hard way any way. :D
I unplugged them, one by one and none of them could stop the cranking. :eyepoke:
So, it's the solenoid attached to the starter motor? That's the one and only relay related to starting! :D.
Damn! I wish I knew it earlier. Could've saved me lot of banana dancing this arvo. :bananaro:
