I think you'll be OK WRT it's strength, as long as you don't go chasing stupid amounts of power. Parts not sure, but I imagine later model turbo parts would fit. N/A parts too if you can't find anything else.

I got everything I needed for my Safari TD42T from Partsouq even the turbo spec exhaust studs & multi-layer turbo manifold gaskets. Also bigger rear crank seal, all hoses, inlet manifold & sump gaskets, etc. They even had a turbo spec piston oil squirter that I had to replace.

Makes me wonder why some are 24v like mine. Electrically they are very similar. Saw a post here by a guy who listed the differences which were few. Even fan is same 12v on 24v truck

93silvertop, I have imported a few into Canada and imported the first Y60 Safari with factory TD42T. I can probably help if you need. You will want to disable the EGR system which you can just unplug at the solenoids and the system will go dead.

Thank you. I do not believe mine has an egr but i could be wrong. Will definitely take a look to be sure. Usually I use a blanking plate to stop exhaust gas entering intake.
