Since my 12/06 4.2 TDI was tuned, the idle is too high (1200) when the egg nishner kicks in. Is there a way to lower this independent of idle screw at the IP?

Not sure on gu,s

but on gq,s you can do it 2 ways ( old style non electric rotary pump). one is to adjust the small set screw in the white plastic looking diaphragm the vacuum line goes into at end of pump, or you can loosen the 2 or 3 screws that hold a small plate that the plastic diafr looking thingy bolts too , and adjust it as you move it.The arm on this thing is what ups the idle.

yours a ti pump , so not sure how useful this info is, cheers.

HI there bud you can adjust the idle speed separately
there is a idle up on the side of the ip with the air on undo the lock nut and turn the screw in and it will slow down and then lock the nut up again.
