Bad quality fuel = paying out the nose for fix. Hit and miss fuel economy (50/50 good and bad, bad being 15-20L/100km). Better drivability generally than other stock GU diesels. Not a great tow car compared to vehicles.

My opinion. I'll never ever own one again. I'd buy a 2005-2006 ZD30 before a CRD and I'd look at other brands if buying new unless I absolutely needed live axle.

20k does seem high for a 6 year old car with 229,000klms, and its a dx, but Im not really in the know when it comes to Patrol prices. There's no more dramas with the patrol crd than any other crd. No more or less reliable than a hilux, prado, triton, ranger, pajero etc. I have one and love it :)

I get 15lt/100km, but considering what I have on it and that my last car (2010 Prado d4d) got 14.5 I am not complaining. When I got mine it was getting realy bad economy but this was fixed by cleaning the MAF sensor and getting it serviced. My tows well, but I have a three inch exhaust and a tune. They are good, but you need to get it set up right which will cost some money. It is high km so I hope it's good.
