So why not list what was done for your money. There is a good couple of hours to remove and refit, washers, fuel filter, what else was done?

Gotta shop around mate. Get quotes, don't just get work done. Pay what you think is reasonable. I don't tend to take short cuts on my car, or anything, but I hate paying top dollar for a job that can and should be done for less. Maybe it's just cause I'm a tight arse....

Cheers,
Josh

I did my own. Cost me $630 for the squirters and about 4hrs to do it. Number 1 requires a special tool to get it out and back in to the torque.

Could have done it a lot quicker but i made a tool for the son of a number1
made a big difference to mine.

I could get them done fairly cheap, you just have to take them out and wait a week or so, my old man in Vic does them, including Common Rail ones.
Yes he has the HP calibrators etc. I get mine done for postage price. Just bragging now.

Mate speaking from experience it depends on where you source your parts from. Nissan charge about from memory about 500 ish for no one injector and similar cost for the others. However you can buy the genuine zexel (exactly what Nissan sell) injector through other companies. Mate I have costed up injectors and the cost ranged from 550 for a reco set 2-5 and a new number 1 right through to 750. These prices were supply only. When you think about remove and refit of the injectors they are charging labour at a minimum of $70 per hour. Also it will cost you extra if the injectors you return are damaged and aren't able to be recoed they will charge you for the core. There are many reasons why it could have costed you a bit more. Just for future reference but if you are local to brisbane then diesel specialists on the northside are very reasonable and good to deal with. I have no affiliation with them.

Thanks guch. Everything youve described there is pretty much what im getting done with the exception of a new sensor which was damaged. Ill grin and bear it this time.

BUT, i will say this, I did the ol mrs mangle and had a sticky beak at how it is done. i reckon next time i could do it myself.

All id need is the correct torque setting right?
