installed thermos out of an el falcon with thermo switch bla bla bla. took it for a run up the beach and now it heats up to about 3/4 in the soft. never did before my thoughts is maybe because the thermo setup doesnt cover the whole radiator, may be sucking air threw the sides. open to your suggestions and ideas cheers

The thermos need to cover the whole radiator. Or make up a shroud to do so. Also what temp switch have you got for it that may make a difference

the lowest is 40 on the switch so i turned it just a little they basically run all the time. yeah i think ill fix up the shroud

if you want to do a lot of beach work then the factory fan is way better, but if you insist on thermo fans then yes , cover the entire radiator with the shroud , seal up the gaps on the side, make sure you have good size power cables and earth cables to reduce voltage drop , i run 2 relays and good size cables and i still get about .7 volt voltage drop, a hotter thermostat will help keep temps under control , i fitted a 91 deg thermostat and that helped heaps with keeping the needle away from the hot mark, although the motor will always run warmer, if it is the td42 then they like it hot

ive got big wires two relays n that, not alot of beach driving but its just at the end of my road so wen i go for a dip i drive straight on
