So China has enforced strict limits on bank withdrawals as people start panicking in fear of the Chinese banking system’s financial health, after two bank runs in a week.

And my favourite part, police have started arresting anyone who even discusses the potential collapse of the Chinese economy, and the bank’s failure to repay loans, and what is shaping up to be the biggest gold fraud in human history.

Think about that, arrested for discussing something around a table in a cafe. Not so bad to live where we do, despite our whinging about it.

india has also banned the tik tok app, which has gone from 1.5 billion users to 2 billion in just five months, due to the fact that it is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company, and accusations have been made about user’s private information being accessed by the CCP. Now it seems Australia and the US are looking at banning the app along the same suspicions. This would be the biggest corporate scalp in the Chinese business world after Heuwai (sp??) since the US (among others) has pretty much kicked them out of their infrastructure market.

Article 6 in the Chinese constitution states (more or less) that all Chinese citizens, companies and everything else are required to uphold and support national security as defined by the government, a wishy washy way of saying that nothing is private or secret from the government, or more to the point the grand poo-bah Jinping.

Then there was the debacle near the Indian border. China gained ... nothing. What they did was pissed India off. That leaves India open for the US to cozy up, in any large scale international conflict, India’s navy could easily blockade Chinese oil supplies from the middle east so this is not a clever move. It would also dilute the forces China would desperately need to maintain control of the South and East China seas, as they would have the Indian border to contend with on the other side of the country. In the west, they’d have enough trouble dealing with Japan, South Korea and the US, let alone the other claimants to the SCS, such as Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.

China has also met an Indian call for mass boycotts of Chinese goods ... and India is the second most populous country in the world so hardly an insignificant market. India has thrown Australia a possible lifeline for our barley, so India could become a good friend to be nurtured by Australia if we wish to reduce our reliance on China. India also needs iron ore...

Theyve even pissed off Russia, with their constant intellectual property theft (like Russia could talk ha!), with the J20 fighter (supposedly a fifth gen stealth, but it’s so lame they are still buying 4th gen SU35s from Russia) being a copy of the SU35, and a great deal of other Defense tech also, including missile systems among others. The only reason Russia still sells military hardware to China is because they badly need the money themselves, but they are apparently not as cozy as we think.

China has pissed off the rest of the world with its constant Taiwan threats, its nefarious actions in Hong Kong, its repeated obfuscation and overly defensive posturing on the origins of the COVID 19 pandemic, it’s trade threats to Australia, its illegal island building in the SCS (as determined by the international tribunal, which China only recognises when decisions go its way), and now even its own people are getting pissed off.

They have refused to admit casualties in the Indian Galwan valley conflict with India, and Chinese citizens have been asking why their fallen soldiers are not honoured and respected, and it seems a larger portion of the population than I had ever imagined are becoming aware that they are treated like mushrooms by the CCP.

Maybe the poo bah will not be self proclaimed president-for-life after all......

Well Pudin has st himself upp for another 16yrs after this term is up, so he's just like the two dictators of China n North Korea, so it will be interesting to see how these three get along in the future and what posturing happens. 🤔

Funny you should say that... given that China already cries and claims ownership of land belonging to no less than 21 sovereign nations, it also claims to own Vladivostok, signed over to Russia in 1860 after the second opium war. As that is the home of Russia’s pacific fleet it will be a cold day in hell before that gets handed over.

Also, China has been muscling in on Russia’s sphere of influence during the pandemic and cozying up to Serbia with medical assistance and posturing for military sales.

That’s just the start of it.

So I don’t think they’re as loved up as they seem, only their mutual hatred of the US keeps them civil.
