Just noticed bit of a light big end knock when cold lasts for about 2 or 3 sec untill oil preassure pumps up. oil preassure good is on the high side of specs. After a couple of sec she is quiet as a mouse just wondering if this is normal for a 300k tb42e???
is this knock normal

i would say yes it is normal until you can hear the same noise when at running temp, then it might need looking at
Running castrol professsional 15w/40, tappets ok just got a new head set tappets to 0.38mm.
How strong and reliable are the bottom ends of these tb42e?
Deffinently goes away after a couple of sec sounds like most engines do just after you change the oil and filter and it needs to pump the new oil through the filter
