Hey guys im on the hunt for a gq patrol and ive sused out carsales,ebay,trading post and the only one ive found has a rb30 on straight gas, 220,00ks,winch bar,winch,uhf and has a 6" lift on 35s and a minor ding to the front quarter and bonnet but he said he has a new bonnet and guard i can have and he wants 6k for it.
Does this sound like a good deal?
Wats some things i should be looking for wen i go check it out?
Does anyone know anywhere else i can look to find one?
Im located on the central coast nsw and am tryn to find one thats lifted and on 35s.
Any help or advise will be great

First thing i would check is,

Are all or any mods that need approval aproved ???
IE
Regarding lift and tyre size

Minor ding,has it affected the inner guard ???
(For 6K youd think this would be done before offered for sale)
RB30 great motor but not so when trying to move 3 tonne
Does it come with RWC or pink slip ???
6K IMO is up there in the price for an RB30 powered GQ
Hows the body for rust ect ???
Look in the For Sale section on this forum,evilbay,trading post ect for others

he bought the car with the ding in it already and has bought the parts but doesnt have the funds to fix it.it comes with rego till augest 2011.it has just been painted not that long ago and he said theres no rust but i am goin to look today.ive looked on ebay,carsales,carsguide,trading post,here and boostcruising.thanks for the input mate

Have a real good look around the roof above the gutter's at the rear as this is a rust prone area, also check the rear quarter's, take a magnet with you if you can, if it's been bogged, don't touch it!! Look under neath for any off road damage. Look around the front swivel hub's for oil leak's. Look at how the lift was done, that big and it should have drop box's or drop arm's on it, adjustable panhard's, extended brake line's etc. If it hasn't been done properly, it'll be hard to get through roadworthy.
