lost fuel filter primer
I have a bit of a dillema,i seem to have lost the the black primer button thing & the spring from the top of the diesel fuel filter.
Can you still change the fuel filter without the primer? & does anyone have one laying around that they would like to sell (the whole filter set up) as you have to buy the whole set up not just the plunger & i hear they are not cheap.

Please explain!
if you fit an electric fuel pump before the filter/ primer and wired up to the ignition , then all you have to do to bleed it is turn on the ignition and loosen the bleed screw on the filter housing, plus the injector pump seems to like a bit of positive pressure being fed to it
