HI Guys i have just pulled apart my LPG switch which is below the demister because when i press it to switch between gas and petrol it no longer lights up so i don't know if i am on petrol or gas.
The globes i took out no one seems to carry has anyone got any ideas on where i could get these from i am in geelong so either local to geelong or melbourne.

please note these are really small images been blown up a bit so you can see it

the globe sits inside the white holder but is nowhere as big as the holder lucky to go 1/4 of the way up the holder it is a pain to get out of the holder yet alone get a globe back into the holder

wires on the globe are really fine tried to get similar globe from dick smith but legs were too thick.

so no one has had to replace lpg globe then?

Could you replace it with an LED ? im sure you can find one small enough.

not sure wouldn't i have to put something inline with the led ?

you can get multi voltage LED`s, see jaycar etc, what about a new switch with LED in it

Im Guessing that your using the original sub tank switch ? and dont want to change it .

Try a 560 ohm resisitor in line see LED calculator for single LEDs

Remeber a led is a diode - will only turn on one way

jimako it is a nissan branded LPG switch which replacd the sub tank switch when i got it changed over.

now i have the globe out of the damn plastice holder will head down to few stores on saturday and see what will fit in there led vs globes.

hopefully the led's fit so they will last longer pain to change them over. thanks for the led calculator and links to the led's
