What are people’s thought on the Mickey Thompson claws? My dad has them and loved them but said they have soft side walls. So I was wondering if they’d be worth it and better suggestions? Anything helps.

Did you bother searching, this is one of a few threads = Existing Claw tyre topic. Bit old but the tread design doesn't seem to have changed enough to suggest they are much better now.

My only experience with them was a mate in our 4wd club that bought them. Good for straight climbing, hopeless for wet side slopes or cornering grip. He struggled to keep a line on a wet grassy slope that even A/T's managed. Got rid of them straight after that one and only trip that he ran them on. That was enough for me to never look at them again for a multi purpose tyre.

If it’s any assistance,I’ve just put my second set of Mickey Thompson’s ATZ P3’s on my 2005 patrol wagon.

They are a chunky all-terrain tyre that over the years have been very impressed with.

I once had mud tyres on and I was never impressed with their lasting ability.

Just my opinion.

Good luck with your search for the ultimate tyre
