any front diff lock will have no effect on the steering when the hubs are unlocked.a terrible idea, its hard enough to turn on road with the rear diffed locked, adding the front would be a nightmare you would feel the car tearing itself apart.
x2 nerok - front diff lock has no effect on the road, unless of course you leave your hubs locked DUH
yes the steering will be reduced with a locked front diff, but there was a guy on here that welded his front diff a couple of months ago and only noticed a slight degradation. i personally dont think it would be bad either, hence why i have a lokka about to go in my front diff. But like has already been stated , if the hubs are locked in you will NOT be able to steer it . If on a dirt track , EVERY time you come to a loose bit , you will have to lock the hubs in . And when through that bit you will have to unlock them again until the next patch . What a pain in the ass that would be , instead of just leaving the hubs in with an open diff or an LSD center or an air locker etc .
if the clicking is too loud for you, you can run a thicker oil and that will make it quieterHey mate let us know how the lokka goes I hear they are noisy as when cornering clikck clik click!
Wouldn't matter for normal 2WD with hubs out but long run in 4WD high might get a bit too much.
