i read a story about 2 girls stuck in a suer in sydney i think it said. one girl was 10 and the other 11. anyhow there lost in the underground piplines and they realized that they have mobile coverage. so what do they do? call 000? no! they update there facebook statuses to ''lost in the suers under sydney'' and one of there friends ended up calling the police.
Hi all i am new to this forum, i just want to say i am a teen and i disagree to a extent. I do have a mobile and facebook but use them rarely to catch up with old mates. The reason why us teen's resort to technology is because you cant much these days without getting in trouble or looked at bad in the eyes of the community.
More of us teen's need to get jobs to keep us occupied and away from technology.

I don't think it's society's dislike of teens that drives the addiction to technological devices...
I think it's the modern, PC, for god's sake don't ever be negative to your child and possibly scar them for life by actually telling them off attitude (obviously in league with the total ban on all physical punishment, removal of all realistic boundaries, and the promoted idea today that, everyone is right in their own way, and everyone's opinion is valid even when they are 100% WRONG) that causes children and teens to become so self obsessed and spoilt that they believe they are special in some way and must be pandered to every second of every day.
NO ONE cares what your STATUS is, except all the other pre-pubescent self absorbed sad sacks on face tube...
Yes, there are older people who use u-face-book-tube, because the above reasons also work to dumb down the adult population too...

Im about the only person i no that doesn't have a facespacetwittertube acount. I dont get invited to any partys or events because everyone just does it on facespacetwittertube and dont do the old fassion talking to people. I guess im glad i dont get the invited i can just imagin the partys.. everyone on a chair round a fire on instantfacespace chat or updateing there profiles to sitting round the fire.. I took a mate and his missus on a piggin' trip and she acctualy cryed becuase she didn't get reception the hole day.

I mean, i thought i was experiencing the web at home on a 24inch moniter but, there are people out there who can view it on a one inch phone screen...how cool is that?
Who uses a dumb old PC to email people anymore anyway? When your modern phone has a built in keyboard or even better, a microscopic Qwerty keyboard right there on your one inch screen; so what if it takes you five minutes to type hello because your fingers can't possibly hit less than 6 keys at a time on a postage stamp sized keyboard...that must be why no-one can read text speak...
And, how sad am i?
I use a dated, outmoded 10MP Digital SL/R to take photos which are sharp, high resolution and can be used to convey images in startling detail, but there are people now who have phones with digital cameras that are SO good, you can almost make out your looking at a picture of something, almost!
