People most likely will say turbo (I would too!) but as far as na mods are concerned:
Nice set of headers
Full MANDREL exhaust - not pressed bent ****
100 cell HIFLO cat
Revise the intake pipework - stainless, heat sheild it
New throttle body - XF falcons run a 68mm throttle body which are a good upgrade for most nissans
Advance timing slightly

Just a few thoughts... mainly exhaust and intake though will get your power on a NA machine. Then it starts to get expensive ie headwork, cams, compression etc etc...

1st, makes sure there are no problems all ready with the carby, LPG setup, electrical, tune. No point doing heaps of mods and the things still gutless because of other problems that need fixing.

Extractors with 2.5" exhaust
Electronic ignition (petronix is one to look at)
Extended rotor button
New spark plugs if they haven't been done for awhile and maybe upgrade the coil.

Will make a big difference but the exhaust was the one that was the most noticeable on mine.

Might be Worth looking at changing diff ratio if your running 35's

well!, 35's are the start of your powerless truck!
they do have the most horses at the rear wheels of all the GQ's tho!!
being on gas is even wors!
get some headers (if you haven't allready got them) and electr. ignition (if you have the carby tb42)
and go to a gas specialist WITH A DYNO!!!! that's the only way to get the most out of your gas fed engine!
other more expensive options are reduction gears in your transfercase as you are running 35's.
i run 33" tyres and is ok allround, anything bigger needs some more $$$ spend on it! , like i said, reduction in the transfer or the diffs to bring it back to original torque!
or if you have the tb42e you just bolt on a wizzer!:p

I think a general engine check up is in order before running the guess work avenue

New leads,plugs,filters,tune ect
Is there any leaks, fuel, gas, vacuum ect

Running on a dyno ??
Just make sure the dyno operator knows what hes on about
To many variables to just pinpoint one issue

With the 4.375 ratio the 265/75 tyres , extractors and exhaust mine takes off like a V6 Commodore even on LPG

def! get your gas engine tuned on a dyno!! everything else is guess work!!
35's are too big when running a stock petrol engine!
your gonna loose so much power compared to the 31" they come with in standard form!
you go big!, you need to spend some serious $$$ on your diffs or transfer in the form of reduction gears...

The gap between the rotor and the points is too great for gas and with wear and tear over the years it gets too big for petrol as well. You can get a longer rotor or build the old one out but its really worth changing over to electronic ignition.
