Hi Guys figured I should finally make a thread showing my 'trol.

I bought her about 9 months ago while I was still in uni, but now i have finished my degree and have got a job up north on the mines the plans are quite ambitious to be honest but we can all dream haha

Mods as it is at the moment:
- very sagged 2" lift
- very worn 285/75R16 AT
- factory winch bar
- custom rear tool draws,
- sound system
- boost gauge
- 2.5" exhaust

My first mods are to fix the tyre's and suspension.

I was thinking of getting kumho KL-71's but dont know if I want to deal with the whole directional spare. The other tyre I was thinking of was MT ATZ 4-rib, any thoughts? I am only interested in going to 33's mainly because I dont need 35's.

I was planning on getting the suspension stuff 3" flexy kit and installing it myself. Should give me a bit more clearance. Is this kit hard to install yourself?

Hi Tim, nice looking rig there mate. Have a look at the dick cepek fc11 tyres. There a great tyre. As for the lift, I don't have one but I it's not that hard if you have a mechanical mind.

hey tim, mate a 3 inch and you will need 35's haha 33's will look way to small!!

the lift is pretty easy to install make sure you have a couple of heavy duty jacks and at least 4 jack stands!

celebration beers...and lunchtime beers

but make sure you bleed your shocks so they dont die a little while down the track!!

but its easy and have a blast.

I got some quotes on tyres today. $300 for 285 and $325 for 305 kumho KL-71's.

What do people think any good?

Took the Patrol out to the Mundaring Powerlines Track a couple of weeks ago with a mate in his Troopie.

Safe to say I did not need recovering but I had to pull him out once.

Yeah you wont break a patrol doing stuff like that. Only thing is better to do it slow for the control/safety reason, but lack of lift and tyre size calls for that sometimes lol. Nice vids though, looks like fun

It was great fun. Went a couple of days after the last rain we had here Perth so was a little bit wet but not too bad.

Thanks Monsta, good to know that I shouldn't break anything but I agree if I had been able to do that slower I would have done. But then again that's half the fun

Had my swivel hubs freshened up today with new bearings and my wheel bearings replaced as well so shall feel much nicer when I get home this Thursday night...shame I'm not going to have much of a chance to drive it before I go back to work

Ordered some new rims from the States today should be here in a couple of weeks then its time for some new tyres Got a full set of 5 so I can rotate the tyres properly when i get them.

Some photo's of the new shoes was on a quick trip down south last time I was home pulled over for a quick photo.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to give them a test yet except on the black top and little bit of gravel but very happy with them over the crap that was on there before.

Also fitted LED interior upgrade (Thanks Jet-6) very happy with them but dont have any photos unfortunately and I fitted the most important stickers the Patrol4x4.com.au stickers on the rear cargo windows Shall get photos of that when I am home next.

Those rims look sweet, did they cost much to have em sent to Perth?

I got all of them for less than a grand delivered, had to have the centres machined out to fit the patrol hubs though so ended up at a total cost of just over a grand. That was through a mate of a mate though so I don't know what price others would get, I don't even know where these ones came from other than it is in the US haha
