just picked up a 1989 gq swb tb42 carby auto and its got factroy swaybar disconects brought it of an old bloke he has had it for 15 years full service history heaps of recipts. theres not a mark on it (yet) never been off road before.
now ive just got to get used to having a carby motor lol bit diffent to the diesal gu

thanks guys yeah mate there rock hard ive got a recipt when thay were installed over 8 years ago lol.

near future plans are
3inch flexi coil lift
2inch body lift
home made bar work
35's
and iam sure there will be heaps more done along the way

maybe comp it later on down the track. but yeah sick of damaging the gu so now if i break it i can just push it in the shed and worrie about it at a later date and not have to worrie about getting to work the next day lol

just mucking around on it and noticed a wet patch on the drive way and its fuel it looks to be coming from the fuel pump and its not a hose (bugger) looks like iam up for a new pump

got my fuel pump yesterday put it in to day new fuel lines and filter went for a spin up the end of the industral estate at work and flexed it up the suspension it is so bad the shocks are stuffed. i was thinking of putting the standard suspension out of my gu 4 i still have it just untill i get the coin for lift

i know the rear quaters are perfect its gunna be hard when it comes time to chop it :-?

yeah the bullbar is coming off very soon i will be makeing a tube bar front and back and sliders too and eventully a exo cage.

mate the car was coverd in old stickers it will be coming off when i get a chance lol

hay mate i picked it up for just over 5 grand its 100% stock there are alot out there but there ruff ive been looking for the past 5 months and this one poped up so i grabed it quick

been playing with the shorty this week nocked up a diff guard and installed a cd player and uhf and got the clock working.did a few inquires about the lift kit and tyres so in a month or to it should be ready to hit the tracks

thanks mate yeah a rear bar is on the cards but just gotta work out what iam goin to do with the rear quaters there in mint condition so dont really want to cut them up yet
