Cheers guys!
James - yea going with some big wing mirrors, got a plan for the old mirror mounts on the doors though
Well, I've done the pass side hub rebuild and found a few surprises along the way.
Starting with the discovery of my axle seal, on the sump plug! LOL

I had the hubs rebuilt about 3ish years ago by a mechanic and needless to say he did a crap job .... he used one of those magical "torque chisels" on the lock nuts .... bearings were never seated properly and the pre-load never set .....

This in turn lead to sloppy wheel bearings, weight on the axle and a chewed out spindle needle bearing and axle seal....

Did the rebuild with genuine parts, all bearings and seals redone inc the king pins. The old owner put eccentric ones in ... I put factory ones back.

I also did a GU locking nut conversion (easy as and a much better system!), rebuilt the locking hub and put a torque spreader ring on the outer hub lock.

I'll pull down the drivers side today and start knocking out all the races and degreasing.
Altho its a really messy job its actually quite fun!
Also, just as a note if anyone else is gonna give this a crack, I used these 3 pages for info:
