ive got a module that works when fitting an ls1 into a td42 tacho and also works when fitting a zd30 to a td42 as u have to divide the signal
those alternator tacho modules requires u to have an rpm output on the alternator which most don't have the signal, only time they are useful is when running a usa alternator like a chevy diesel
u r better of trying the sgi-5 from Dakota if u want to try it
or just buy the tacho module from marks
