Hi everybody

First, let me just tell you that I'm not speaking english as good as I would like... I'm living in Switzerland, and my mothertongue is french. I will try my best to make you undersand what I want to share with you. Thank you guys in advance for your keen indulgence.

I run a 4x4 equipment shop here in Switerland. Beside this activity, We also run an adventure travel company. We are organising 4x4 trips from Switzerland / France / Germany to different destinations as Iceland, Russia, Romania, Sahara. We also have central Asia in the pipeline (Mongolia, Kirghiztan...)

Back to the vehicle. I bought the new Patrol 3.0 crd in 2012, but it's a 2007 with about 40'000 ks on the clock. It will be one of our organisation vehicle that lead or end the convoy. I also have an old 93 HDJ80 wich burned its 3rd auto trans...

My first wish (dream), was to put a 6.5 TD V8 in the patrol. But for homologation reasons, that was impossible. I had to get a descent power out of the little 3.0 crd... I can say now that I'm very happy with the result.

This is an overview of what I did to it:

- BF GOODRICH mud-terrain 37 x 12,5 R17
- Lovells coils +10cm front / +15 cm rear. -> need to put some +5" HD in the front
- 2,5" King shocks with reservoir

- reinforced rear coils seats
- Caster plates -> need to put some drop boxes instead.

Hope you appreciate. I still have a lot of pic of the complete build-up or details of the products that we fitted on the vehicle. I don't know if that interest you... just let me know ;)

Cheers from switzerland

Really impressive mate! Your english is quite good too, I am very curious about the PE-HD skid plates, that is not something I have ever seen or heard of before. Why did you do it like that? To save weight? or corrosion reasons?

Keep the pictures coming!

Hi Craig. Thanks for your nice comment.

I found the PE-HD very light, easy to work on (use of an air heater to bend a plate), and most important: indestructible. This material is also perfect in case of an hard contact as it return to its original shape. So, no contact, vibration and abrasion with another part possible after an impact. Some details below...

Hi Isack
MasterTECH is our own brand. You will not find it on the net as it's not widely distributed... yet. ;-)
The bars are manufactured in Europa, not in China. Made of galvanized 4mm steel. Very strong.

Welcome to the forum!

What a brilliantly set-up Patrol, certainly one of the best I've seen. Love the PE-HD protection plates!

Yes please to more info on the build up :)
