Oreet guys

Just got a 88 gq tb42, 2" lift, 31's...my first foray into big 4x4's

Just love it...so much character.

previous owner had done a load of maintenance...great engine.

a couple of quick questions if i may

21L per 100km does this sound ok?

in 4wd with the Hubs locked, when on tarmac (done just to test) it pulls heavily to the right, and feels like it is pulling the titanic?

and finally a minor one...at very low revs in 2/3/4th gear it occasionally judders under acceleration, anything that I can check?

any help or idea's very welcome...

regards

21L / 100km sounds about right around town. You don't say if it's on gas or not, I assume with that figure it is petrol only.

Try driving on dirt and see if it does the same thing.

Of course it's going to shudder under acceleration at low revs.... it's a petrol, they don't have the torque to do that.

Hi

On dirt it feels ok, just so massively different on a sealed surface. Why would it pull so much to one side?

Not so much judder, more like mini cutouts, fuel feed/air mix issue?

cheers

Don't drive on hard surfaces in 4wd, not good for drive train, it is pulling like that due to 'windup'.
Don't drive at very low revs, not good for engine, cutouts, judders is 'lugging'.
