ive learn a lot from this site and I feel like you guys might like my build
feel free to comment or suggest anything

im at the point the engine is mocked up and just waiting for transmission adapter
ill probably need help with wiring the engine ....
it should be pretty easy tho

enough BS and here's some pics.

ive been posting some pics of the project on FB
just now got time to upload pics to photobucket
this build been going on for past 4-5 months

using Nissan TD42t turbodiesel engine out of dump truck that my boss give it to me
only problem was transmission its 2wd and manual
im right leg above amputee and cant comfortably drive stick (I could but would need hand throttle )

so first on the list was get auto tranny that will work with this engine
problem is this engine didn't came with auto tranny and 4wd so after long search on internet I found out that this TD42 engine is used in Nissan patrol and is very popular in AU but rare with auto tranny
I had option to import tranny from there or find adapter to fit tranny that's easily found in US
I found guy who does conversions from Nissan Z to GM tranny and called him and he told me that hes working on same engine for AU
guy who building the fastest desert truck ... sweet
I scored rebuild 4L80e transmission with transfer case out of diesel truck with wiring harness and computer
it was out of 91 truck that had standalone computer so it "should"be easy to wire it up

I got 80's cj7 that I bought for short money cause the guy was swapping body and never finished
stripping was very easy as th ebody was just sitting on the frame and everything disconnected

striping the jeep

4.2 removal

tub on the way home

paint stripped and power washed
