Old mans GQ 4.2 diesels speedo still works fine but the Odometer has stopped counting.
Do i need a replacement or what?
And also the Taco sometimes works and other times does not or it just jumps around.
Whats going on there?

Do a seach - been a few discussions on speedo / taco issues.

Sounds like the taco might have a intermittent joint or cracked track.

I found a problem I had by pulling the dash apart to let me get to the display. With the vehicle running and the display connected - i started tapping the rear board until I found the suspect area ( my fault was the speedo would go fully clockwise intermittently)
