Max filter have a non return valve to stop the oil from draining out of the filter when the motor is turned off. Hence why the oil light goes off quicker on start up. I'm sure other brands have it. But I've used these for 8 services and have had no problems.

If you want to use Ryco then find your Ryco wholsesaler, Z503s cost me $12.20 each and Z416 are $14.80 each.
