Hi all

Maybe a very stupid question have read a few posts about overdrive on auto's but why does my manual have a overdrive switch on dash manual says very little just its a overdrive. when im sitting at rest say about 500-650 rpm then i flick switch on it raises rpm to about 1400-1500rpm. care to shine a little light or am i being dumb. (first post be kind)

overdrive or is the cold engine switch that raises the idle when you have it on sought of like a choke

Thats is most likely the idle up switch. Increases rpm to warm up engine quicker

Thanks for the help yep its the cold idle switch for some reason my manual shows the symbol for overdrive as the cold idle. Thanks for not ripping the P
