Who here paints the underside of there vehicle?
Is it worth the trouble and is it easier to paint by hand or rattle can?
What is the best procedure and products to use for this?
Cheers.

I just had my fuel tank out and coated it and everything you can't access once the tank is back in with lanotec steel seal.
I don't have previous experience so can't say how it goes long term.

It is very thin and a little bit goes a long way. It coats really well. It does stay a little tacky though.
I don't think I'll use it anywhere else under the car as it's horrible working on things that are sticky. I may use the resr if it as a cavity spray inside the door sills.

Here (Middle East) underbody coating is a standard practice for those who drive on beach / in desert where ponds of sea water (VERY salty) are often found. The (obvious) trick is to clean all sort of rust on chassis and body parts before coating. A good job is not easy and time consuming but I consider it helpful towards rust prevention

I touch up body and chassis with Penetrol. Great stuff, I now buy it in 1L pack and apply via à quality spray bottle.
