patrol 3 Lt ST ZD 30

my patrol has 180,000 Km with more than regular oil/filters changes etc. Now engine breaths heavy thus turbo & intercooler soaked with oil, long drives reduce problem. Power and economy still excellent. have been told manifold will be chocked up? Fitted blank plate to stop exhaust gas recycle. Do these engines have a history of serious piston ring bypass?
