hi mates
i have a problem with the gas/petrol in the gq i was thinking it was electrical because the indecater lights on the switch dont light up ,but coild be something more she wont start on gas or petrol some how she is not getting fuel in to the carbe thefuse is good iam thinking it could be relay or to do with the gas setup pored petrol down into carde she started so not getting fuel solernoid problem, any ideas regards rob

due to him saying pouring petrol down the carbie id say. carb.
im if it wont start on petrol or gas, id say the control box or what ever controls the things that switches power to gas solenoid or fuel solenoid has gone and isnt sending power to either.
hence no fuel or gas.
if that makes sense.

I would be inclined to look for a electrical fault - Flat battery. He stated indiators dont light. Is the vehilce cranking?

My Mav is on gas/petrol, wont start on pertrol.... could this be similer issue?

I had the exact same problem with my tb42 petrol gas
All it was was the fuel lock had packed up so I replaced it & bingo
Follow your fuel line from your carbi back & you will find the fuel lock Im talking about mine is in front of my brake mastercylinder, Bypass it & see if she starts
I did excatly that & then swaped a old XR600 which only cost 2gs for a 8G patrol

Have you sorted this out?
If not pull out your dash switch for the Gas/petrol changeover and see if there is power to the switch as this would be the only common part between them (gas or petrol) on the fuel side.
If not trace back to find the power supply, if there is see if there is power on the other sides of the switch petrol side and gas side if no power the switch is no good.

FMD, how to look a dick in one easy lesson... I didn't even register on that.....

on another note, I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a dodgey connection to the mixer switch
