Hello,
Started the car this morning and went about 1/2 mile. ABS warning light went on (steady) and car lost power. Could drive only 20 MPH. Turned around and parked the car. Seems like lights also dimmed. Any ideas of the cause?
Thanks

+1 are you sure it's ABS & not engine check/managment light?

If it's abs i can't see why it would restrict your driving speed..... unless something is really messed up in the system some place and something is getting jammed in there somewhere.....unlikely...

Only thing that goes wrong with abs is either the abs brain itself (rare) OR vehicle ABS speed sensors in the hubbs...It's a pretty straight forward set up,your best bet is to go to a nissan garage and get a diagnostic check done.

The only thing that would cause your patrol to loose that much power that you have explained is an engine check light (orange) and this would be a faulty MAF sensor,DO NOT drive the patrol if this is what is happening or you will burn or crack a piston, normally MAF sensor does not illuminate the check engine light but the MAF is the most common cause for lack of power and the most common cause for cracked burned pistons is because guys keep driving the patrol with faulty maf......

The registration year you have said 00 was noted for MAF sensors failing.......
