I'll do it for you for $200, just bring you car over and give me $1000 deposit plus material and labour costs and allow me to pinch some parts from your car and we should be sweet.

Yeah im in the same position ........ I was hoping to use a forum members services but they all either have bad reps, take months to get done, or run off with funds.

eg: Bolsy Sliders have a great reputation but a quick read through the Bolsy thread and the number of people waiting or that have waited a loong time etc... has put me off. Happy to wait a few weeks if it is really that busy.... but months !!!

Don't have the materials, time and inclination to privide the good. DON'T ADVERTISE. Simple. No sympathy for thise fwits.

My brother could do better, faster and with proper customer service than these Jerkovs. He just doesn't have the inclination!

The trouble is alot of these blokes making barwork are probably pretty good at it but being just normal blokes and one man operations their shed after work means customer service leaves ALOT to be desired.
If they are backyarders then state that in the ad. People will understand.
If you cant supply **** then DONT START ;)

x Yomteen. Sadly there dont appear to be any decent ones left.
One bloke was making them, had a bloke off heres truck to use as a template to make the sliders, and took other **** off customers rig and used it! Cant remember who that was... Last I heard customer never got his **** back or his sliders.

I want bolt on not weld on, so that kills off plenty too :(

Superior: Clamp on http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=4994 You know everything they make is quality and engineerd to last. they will supply like they say they will.
$850 - nice lookin Rock Sliders to suit Wagon Style 2
$950 with checkerplate on top :(

Cheezy: Weld on: http://www.cheezyracing.com.au/sliders.html You know Stu wont make **** gear, so will also be strong..
Step : $960  (has checker plate on top)
Slider: $795

4b Fab: weld on :(
Slider - $695 painted and fitted
$100 more for checkerplate on top.

Vince piped up on MSN from his slumber and mentioned Millweld.

I sense that some are not happy with the prices of legit businesses bar work, who can deliver? Hence they go to 'cheap' backyarders and some get burned?
I made a few sliders once and all I got was ridiculous offers instead of my asking price so the idea went dormant. Truckster I smashed both sills on my Rodeo a few years ago so I made sliders and put it out there that I would make them through my business but all I got was ridiculous offers than my asking prices. I'm willing to produce them but the hardest thing is getting donor rigs for long enough to make measurements/jig's from. Plus some people wants something "different" so if they want something a little different than the design then it's going to cost a little extra.

so far I've found new sliders from $450(on ebay at moment) up to $1700 .. why such a difference in prices... :(

I suppose I used to be a trusting soul too, and would like most try to save money when possible.. we all do. I have gone the backyarder a few times over the years and been bent over and given the 40 lashings of the happy sausage. :( Its not a good feeling.

On the other flip of the coin, you cant have everything.. is there really that much in them once you have a jig setup?

... usual story on forums you been round long enough to know that! so many broke kids on forums tryin to build OBC winners for $2000 it aint funny.
