Hi All,
I have previously posted a thread on installing an aftermarket headunit into a patrol and i got a fair response as to the antenna trigger for the power antenna.
If you buy a pioneer cd player or European model players it will MOST likely NOT have an antenna trigger wire or it will trigger constantly, so to counter this you need to either wire the antenna trigger to acc or remote trigger from the headunit to get it to work. i have worked out how to get these sort of systems to work using a DPDT (dual pole dual throw) Illuminated Switch and this also does away with the height adjust switch on ur dash panel.
The DPDT switch will work your power antenna at full mast when the switch is turned on at the top, the antenna will fully retract when the switch is at the centre and will trigger the antenna to half mast when the switch is on at the botttom.
It may seem simple now that its drawn in front of you but it was a bit of a pain to work out originally, because the full mast trigger wire needs to be activated full time even when the antenna is running at half mast.

Hope this helps some people out.
