G'day guys,

How do I make the electric windows in my GQ run smooth, I just replace the LHR regulator as the teeth were stripped on the old one but they all sound like dying when i use them haha.

get a can of silicone spray from supercheap and spray the channels wipe off excess. Works a ttreat.

i found my left side motor went down easy but really struggled to go back up, maybe motor stuffed like mine was

Yeah a couple of mine do that too, how much am I looking at for a new motor and do you know where I can get them from?

could be the motor, but graphite powder in the bailey channels are the best lube for the windows in my opinion.

Just be careful with graphite powder, it gets everywhere ! The tiniest bit just goes on forever. Your missus will hate you when it gets on her clothes ! Try a locksmiths for supply, but I much prefer the silicon sprays these days.

Bunnings sells graphite powder in the tools section - just bought some last week

If the motors are struggling, pull them apart and clean the brushes and armiture. You will see they get a build up on them causing poor surface contact. Its easy to do, I had 3 that either were'nt working, intermittent or slow operating when I brought mine, cleaned them and two years later no problems. Silicon spray is the go in the channels to I reckon.
