Just removed Old Faithfull from my patrol.
Winch control would winch in but not out ,which i needed. Warn over $500 for new box .Was not worth it to me.
Winch shows its age but has not had any real heavy work.Steel cable is unfrayed and power cables as new as were protected.
I have no idea how to use Ebay and wondered if anyone is interested in making an offer.
Pick up from Ringwood North, but bring your wife as it is bloody heavy.

Mate stuff buying a replacement warn box, it will be just one solenoid ($45 odd), or better still replace whole box with a more modern equivalent single solenoid, far more reliable than the old Ford starter solenoids. A single modern unit ranges from about $50 odd for a cheap eBay job, through to $180 ish for an Albright and about $300 for a comp spec Hollywood Albright.

Buy one of these of your choosing, strip winch and give it a birthday one arvo and it will have more real world grunt and be better by a long shot than any cheap Chinese winch.

A few dollars and a day of your time for the win. If you were in Perth I could sort it for you but the planets don’t align here sorry.

DIY for the win 👍
