i installed my new injector pump was wondering if the fuel being turned right up on an injector pump affect trying to set the timing of the pump to factory.

nope wont have any effect, there is a factory timing mark on the pump and also on the front cover all you do is match them up and then if your concerned take it to a specialist and they will set it for you advancing any timing can be detrimental to your engine life and is only recommended on higher performance engine setups like increased crack pressure in injectors high boost and cam work etc needs to be done before you will get any benefit from timing other then factory point, all it does is delay when the fuel is injected in a simple way. running anything up to 20psi simple increase crack pressure and cam work will see better results

the pump i got has no factory mark, im using a dial indicator to set the timing just having a a bit of trouble setting it it to .74
