Hi guys,
How do you know that radiator needs rodding? And is there any tests to ascertain if radiator is blocked and to what extend.
Mine boiled twice but on very long steep hills.
Driving 4.2 Ti.
your thoughts appreciated.
cheers.

if your radiator is blocked there would be a massive temperature differents from bottom radiator hose to the top radiator hose, there's so many variables when your 4b is over heating go thru the checklist from thermostat to radiator cap etc etc.. theres alot of threads in here blokes are doin there heads in trying to find out overheating problems

good luck mate check every variable and tick every1 off...

Has your radiator ever been rodded (cleaned inside), if not, it's probably time to have it done. My motor started overheating when climbing long hills when towing, and after rodding is back as good as new.

About $120.00 will get the job done, if you are capable of removing the radiator yourself.

Had to buy a new one yesterday. $250.
