My antenna on my 2000 Patrol will not retract the last 100mm. Extends to full up or half up when power is switched on. Will not retract when engine switched off, radio alone switched off in either full or half position. Can anybody shed any light on possible problem.

mines exactly the same, same model n all, cant even push it down, lubed it to death.
Was fine one moment next time stopped fully retracting, no idea, not bent buckled or kinked, obviously the plastic tape is Ok or it wouldn't work eitherway.

Only option is a new elec antenna I think, but too much dollars to be bothered with for such a minor thing. If some moron breaks it, it will be a 2m fglass whip on the front bar.

the rope is broken inside the motor or there is a crease in the mast stopping the mast from retracting fully see my link below to fix.
