For those of you out there that ha done this conversion. How many have ditched the Engine computer?

I am in 2 minds as I don't really need another computer to worry about.

If you have a TD42 with the electronic TCM on the pump you need the ECM if you have a fully mechanical pump you don't.

ive kept the ecu with my td42 swap.
i havent as yet fired it up but it controls the ac and a few other things i think so may as well let it do its thing. all i have connected though is coolant temp, coolant switch and power to glow and fuel pump. plus i believe the tacho goes thru it.
hope my plan works though. find out pretty soon.

Thanks fellas. I was looking at my wiring harness today and I need 3 wires out of the hundred that are in the 2.8 one. Think I'll give it the flick and work round the other probs

Either get the pump changed to mechanical or send both looms to killa kustoms and tell him to sort it you need to run the ti computer or it will run like crap
