Thanks everyone for suggestions. If it is brake lights there is a rubber stopper on the brake pedal that turns off the brake light switch, i had mine fall out and there for the brake lights wouldn't go out.Just glued the rubber stopper back on and all good again.
Cheers, my lights turn off when I push the switch in but the rubber stopper has gone, I have pulled the fuse out to stop lights for the time being.its not a stoper its a in out switch. about 3/4's the way up the peddel arm
Thank Benos, great idea.i just put a bolt in there. grind bolt till its the right thickness and bobs your uncle. cost me all of 20 miuntes haha. saves giving nissan dollars they dont need.
I have the same issue right now. My tail lights and number plate lights don't work. Stop lights are working fine. I have found that the wire comming to lamp sockets is corroded and lamp sockets also corroded. I changed about 2m of this wire and changed lamp socket aswell. Also sprayed lamp sockets with anti corrosion oil.

I noticed my brake lights were constantly on today. Came home, removed the fuse. Jumped on Patrol forum, found the problem in 10 minutes of being home. Plastic stopper was broken, easy fix and very easily found due to this forum.
