Rear Tail lights

I'm hoping someone can help me! I live on the gold coast and don't want some auto electrician ripping me off if it is something I may be able to have a go at myself or someone may be able to help me with in exchange for some beer. I have a series 2 2001 GU 3.0lt TD Patrol which currently has the red clear red tailights. I want to change them over and have them working to the set I have just purchased which is the series 3 tailights which has the red, clear, amber. The bulbs are in them, but i'm not sure if there is wiring currently there and its just a matter of just plugging them in or if i need to purchase some kind of kit. Any helpyou may be able to give me or point me in the right direction would be grately appreciated!!
