Gets worse before it gets better. Most mods in. Some of the internal wiring and more in the engine and tray. Can start to put back together.

I would do yourself a favour with that compressor, if you can. Mount it on rubber blocks, like shocky rubbers or similar. I have one, and it is loud, and vibrates a lot! Rubber mounts will calm it down a bit.

Thanks. If you zoom in you can just see the rubbers under the mounts. More so to stop the fittings from comming loose. It not that loud but only time it will be running while i am driving is to top up tank and front diff lockers. Short brust only. Rest of the time i be out of the car pumping up tyres or running airtools.

Light at the end of the tunnel. Putting it back together. Bit more wiring, Airbags to go on (All wiring and airlines installed though), Connect airline to front diff locker (Again all wiring and lines installed) Vacuum and steam clean before trims go on. New aerial to go in, Tray to be painted, second glove box to be finished and a few bits to go over and i can give it a test drive. Looking forward to see how it goes on the tracks. Only had for a couple of weeks before i took it of the road. Didn't even take it 4wding prior. Maybe should of.

Bit of movement in the last few days. Know have the air bags fully intalled. As mentioned i brought the Boss Airbags which came as a kit and expected to fit like a glove. Had a few dramas with that thou. Passenger side bracket hit the shocker and would of destroy it in no time. Cut around bracket to be able to install but when i pumped air into them the shocker moved closer and had the same problem. Also if i was to go over any think this would have cause the same problem. Ended up cutting part of the bracket that hung over and re drilling new hole to fix. Drivers side was another drama as it was touching the spring. Ended up cutting the top bracket where the bolts go though to bring it away from the spring. Too much work had been done running all the lines inside and out to give up. So much for kits. Have had similar problem with most of the mods and is dragging this re build out. But getting there and can't wait to get on the road.

This was never on the list but once seeing some of you guys doing it i thought it made sence and would be a good spot for my new fuse box. Takes longer then i thought. Still need to build fuse box and opening plus carpet and the work out how best to hinge. But few photos so far.

I will be curious to see if you have any problems with the airbags when working, because that compression line is not vertical as in perpendicular through the centre of the bag? If you look at the bag shape, you will see what I'm talking about, to me, it looks like the bag is wanting to push out sideways. ;)

Foo
Did co concern me a little as well. Going to replace the Panhard rod to an adjustable one. Notice diff is off centre and putting the bags out.

hard to tell from photos but more noticeable on the left. This is causing the airbags to bow and should be a quick fix.

No updates for awhile but still chipping away. Stereo going in. Pulled middle console out and decided seats need to be removed as well. This will help me be able to steam clean carpet completely. Plus a little more room to complete wiring ect. Pulled door trims off to replace carpet design on trims and also help remove a couple of small dints on the door panels. Looked at speakers and can't believe how ****ty they are. 8 w and not even a full speaker! Surely for a few bucks 19 years ago Nissan could of put a better speaker in. New speakers going in.

Have worked out most of the wires comming from the speaker lume. Google alot and not finding much. Does anyone know what the orange wire is for in the stereo lume? Also looking at installing wire from stereo to positive side of reverse switch. Dont want to run wire though vehicle and all the way to rear lights if i dont have to.

Can't recall the orange wire in the stereo loom at the moment, but I believe there is a reverse wire in the passenger's side foot well where the loom goes and exits the cab under the seat. I have had a look at the wiring diagram and the only orange wire appears to be for the rear speakers. Have you downloaded the service manual from the zd30 bible? The links still work (I downloaded it today) and it has all the wiring diagrams in there.

When I put my reverse camera in, the av cable had a small bit of wire coming out. I tapped this into the reverse wire at the rear of the cab and the other end to the signal wire on the head unit and it works perfectly. Though this won't help if you are using a wireless reverse camera haha.

Spot on lifted the carpet and tapped into the loom. Yellow with a pink dot is the reverse light power source.

Adjustable Panhard rod arrived today from Superior Engineering. Verry happy with quality and must weigh three times heavier then the old one. Have tried to recentre by eye at the moment, going off the bump stops to get my center.
